Chesterfield Hockey Association, Inc. (CHA) was founded in 1995 as a
not-for-profit corporation established for the development and
operation of amateur youth hockey in far west St. Louis County. In 1996, CHA commenced play as a member of the Missouri Amateur Hockey Association, the local USA Hockey governing body for this area.
CHA enrolls about 530 players each fall season and hundreds more in our spring and 3 on 3 leagues. This makes it one of the largest youth hockey clubs in the area. Players range in age from 4 to 17 years. The Zip codes we serve include: 63005, 63011, 63017, 63025, 63038, 63040 and 63069 along with areas outside of districted areas.
The Summit Center is our home rink. Located in Chesterfield, Missouri, this triplex consists of two NHL-sized rinks and one Olympic-sized rink. The facility includes a pro-shop, large concession/lobby area, meeting rooms and spacious locker rooms.
Chesterfield Hockey prides itself on providing year-round developmental opportunities and a full spectrum of hockey programs from the Initiation Program to some of the most competitive leagues in the country. Our mission is to be the best Tier II club in the area and to develop and advance deserving players to Tier I careers with the AAA Amateur Blues, Missouri Hockey's recognized Tier I affiliate club.

ABOUT OUR SPECIFIC PROGRAMS
CENTRAL STATES LEAGUE
Our Central States Teams participate in the Chicago-based CSDHL , an elite Tier II league of teams administered by the Amateur Hockey Association of Illinois. This program offers players the opportunity to compete against the best AAA and AA talent from around the midwest. The CSDHL program includes excellent coaching, additional practices & games and the opportunity participate in high level tournaments, beyond the scope of traditional AA programs. CHA conducts tryouts in June and teams skate from August through March.
MISSOURI HOCKEY LEAGUE
Our League program (competitive travel program) is offered for more advanced players. Tryouts are held in August and the season runs through early March. These teams regularly play kids from other associations around St. Louis and as far away as Jeff City and Springfield, IL. Additionally, League Teams periodically travel to out-of-town tournaments, though individual participation is optional. Ample practice times, solid coaching and reduced rosters have made our league program competitive with more established associations in a very short time period. We aim to sustain this successful formula so our league players continue to develop and compete with kids from other St. Louis area teams as well as with players from organizations which have a much longer history of youth hockey.
MISSOURI HOCKEY RECREATIONAL LEAGUE
Our Recreational League (aka Rec or House program) has a commitment to even ice time in a more casual environment than the league program. This program runs from September through early March. Recreational teams play other CHA house teams at Summit and also play games against other association's Rec teams throughout the area in the Gateway Rec Hockey League. The goal of this program is to be sure our players enjoy their experience and improve their skill level. Many players use the Recreational program as a development platform for a future LEAGUE career.
INITIATION PROGRAM
CHA's Initiation program offers new skaters the opportunity to launch their hockey career in an enthusiastic, nurturing environment. The club offers three different sessions of the Initiation program, generally starting in September, January and April. Initiation program skaters normally range from 3 to 11 years of age. For info on getting started, please contact our
.
SPRING HOCKEY LEAGUE
CHA's Spring Hockey League runs from early April until early June. With an emphasis on fun over competition, the individual sign ups at silver and bring-your-own team format at gold allows kids to play on teams with buddies or kids from other clubs.
3 ON 3 SUMMER HOCKEY
Our Summer 3 on 3 Conditioning League is a cross-ice skill-based league which runs from June to early August. This non-check format allows kids a chance to stay in shape with this fast paced, small area game.
CAMPS & CLINICS
CHA also periodically offers conditioning camps, specialized clinics and pre-tryout skates. Each Sunday in spring and summer, the club offers players a chance to keep their skills sharp in our Summer Skills Camp.
Although the Association is relatively young, the leadership and dedication of our volunteer members have quickly elevated CHA into one of the premier youth hockey programs in the Midwest. If you would like more info on where your child should begin his or her career at Chesterfield Hockey please contact us!

Chesterfield Hockey Association salutes all Past Presidents for their dedication, commitment and distinguished service to Chesterfield Hockey and Youth Hockey in St. Louis.
