Co-Ed Programs & All-Girls Programs

U10 Birth Years: 2013 - 2014 U12 Birth Years: 2011 - 2012 U14 Birth Years: 2009 - 2010

The Regular season, team based programs run from mid-August through late February. Registration closed on August 13th @ 10pm. We can no longer accept registrations for the season.

2023-2024 Season Information

Our U10 & Older program plays in a competitive league that is tiered appropriately for all skill levels and age levels.

Teams can expect to potentially practice 2-3 times a week on average, and travel out of town an average of 1-3 times; depending on individual team and coach preferences and desires. There is also an expected level of commitment.

All coaches, regardless of their team designation, are required to provide the same development model, ensuring that every player, regardless of their current abilities, will have the same opportunities to develop.

We aim to sustain a successful formula that provides excellent development opportunities for all players, fun and excitement for players and families alike, and a good overall youth hockey environment.

These teams compete primarily against hockey associations from the St. Louis area; however some of these clubs will reside outside of the immediate St. Louis area. Additionally, Travel teams may participate in out-of-town competitive tournaments based upon the interest level of the team members.

Skating Requirements

While our program is certainly designed to help improve a child’s skating abilities, we do require children to have some experience in skating before signing up. Since the fundamentals of playing hockey involve skating, we want to make sure children who have an interest in playing are starting off correctly with the tools to succeed.

We retain the right to move players to a Learn to Play or Continue to Play program if it is deemed appropriate for their hockey development.

Game Jersey Fittings

All players U10 and above (Birth years 2014 and older) who are new to the club or have outgrown their jerseys will need to attend this jersey fitting. If you are new to the club you will also select your jersey numbers. Please keep in mind that odd birth years must pick an odd number, even birth years must pick an even number. These two dates (July 10th & Aug. 9th) will be your ONLY opportunity to order jerseys for the 2023-2024 season. This will allow time for the jerseys to arrive prior to the start of the season.

  • All players will need to bring their shoulder pads and shin pads.
  • Costs: Jerseys (home/away) $210, Socks (home/away) $40

If you have any questions, please contact Nicole Kupaks: Nicole.Kupaks@Chesterfieldhockey.com

FINAL CALL - JERSEY FITTINGS: For anyone who missed the previous two sessions of jersey fitting for U10-U14; we will have ONE FINAL OPPORTUNITY for players to get fitted for the season. This includes any existing players who may outgrow their jerseys before the season ends.

Monday, August 28th from 5:30pm-8pm. Maryville University Hockey Center; St. Lukes Meeting room (small meeting room in lobby). They will need their shoulder pads and shin guards; full payment is due at time of fitting.

If you have any questions, please reach out to Nicole Kupaks - nicole.kupaks@chesterfieldhockey.com

Required Equipment Colors

All players U10 and older must have a black helmet, black pants (main color) and black gloves (main color). It's okay if there are accent colors of white, gray or red; but the main color must be black. This is mandatory to play in games.

Volunteer Policy

Chesterfield Hockey Association is a volunteer organization dedicated to introducing youth to the world of ice hockey and providing them with opportunities to grow as both a player and an individual. Both on the ice and off the ice. Without the dedication of parents like you, we would not be able to provide the experience our kids will remember for a lifetime.

Every member will be asked to donate 4 hours of their time (per family) this season to help with a club level activity. Volunteer opportunities will be made available throughout the season. For families with multiple children playing with the Chesterfield Hockey Association, we will only require a volunteer commitment based on one child.

By agreeing to volunteer a minimum of 4 hours, you not only will help our club function at an efficient level in order to help keep cost down, you will be helping provide an opportunity for kids to grow as individuals.

At the end of the season, any unfulfilled volunteer obligations will be billed accordingly.

BUY OUT OPTION: Should you wish to buy out your volunteer commitment for the season - you will have that option through this registration, and will be charged an additional $100 to your credit card once you submit this registration. The Buy Out fee non-refundable.

Volunteer opportunities will be posted to the club website throughout the season.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What are the schedules and times for this program? Your schedule will fluctuate weekly, however times will be appropriate to their age group. We do not have fixed schedules for any program outside of Learn to Play and Continue to Play.
  • Are evaluations mandatory? Yes - unless you are specifically told not to attend a certain day, consider all evaluations mandatory to attend. Remember - this is the time period and method we use to determine their current skill level and team placement for the season.
  • What if my kid is injured and can not attend evaluations? We have a procedure in place to account for this. Essentially we rely on any existing data we have on your child, and talk to their previous coaches when possible. We will do our best to appropriately place them for the season.
  • Where will the practices and games be held? We own and operate the Maryville University Hockey Center as well as Pacific Ice Rink. Assume practices will generally be scheduled at either of these rinks throughout the season. We reserve the right to schedule practices at another facility if necessary. As far as games; home games most likely will be at the Maryville University Hockey Center or Pacific Ice Rink; although there is no guarantee. Any away games will be at what ever facility the away team utilizes. Ultimately once teams are formed for the season, it is up to the Team (Coaches and Team manager) to determine what dates / times will be scheduled as home games and away games (after talking to their counter parts at the other clubs).
